Media Services Specialist

SALARY/RANK: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field desired, a minimum six months of experience required in any of the following areas: Technical Support, Audio/Video Support. Knowledge of wireless and wired network technologies, and technical planning and coordination of events. Knowledge of various digital media and multimedia applications and tools, audio and video equipment, computing technologies, latest versions of Microsoft Office suite. Highly organized, self-motivated and ability to work cooperatively with technical and non-technical personnel to successfully accomplish and prioritize projects with little supervision. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong Christian faith, a commitment to the University's Mission, and a demonstrated commitment to that faith, through his/her professional responsibilities, relationships and the mentoring of students.

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will provide technical consultation, planning, coordination, support, and facilitation (setup and breakdown) of all administrative, external, and academic events offered by the University. This position will also coordinate and support live streaming coverage and produce documentary-style videos of campus events when/as requested/required. Must be able to anticipate all AV/technical equipment needs, discern and set priorities, meet multiple deadlines with little supervision, and be willing to work a very flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends. Ability to quickly and effectively troubleshoot technical issues under pressure to ensure events are professional, occur with minimal technical disruption, and reflect positively on the University. Other responsibilities within the Information Technology area may be assigned as needed.
