Field Technician / Field Inspector – Pittsburgh, PA

We’re seeking a motivated Field Technician / Field Inspector to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA . This role offers hands-on field work in construction materials testing and inspection — a great opportunity to build your career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry.

What You’ll Do

• Perform field and lab testing of construction materials (e.g., concrete, soil, asphalt).

• Collect and document test data accurately and clearly.

• Read and interpret project drawings, specifications, and diagrams.

• Conduct on-site inspections and provide observations to project managers.

• Maintain and operate testing equipment.

• Work outdoors at active construction sites in various weather conditions.

Requirements

Certifications: NECEPT required

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: 6+ months of construction or inspection experience preferred

License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Physical: Able to lift 30–50 lbs regularly, walk/stand for long periods, and work outdoors

Availability: Willing to work off-shifts, overtime, and travel up to 25%

Preferred Certifications:

• ACI (Concrete Testing)
