Gifted Potential is seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavior Support Consultant (BSC) to provide individualized behavioral health services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish , experienced in behavioral assessment and intervention, and committed to improving the quality of life for those served through person-centered, trauma-informed care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) .

• Develop, implement, and monitor Positive Behavior Support (PBS) plans using evidence-based approaches.

• Apply Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to encourage positive behavioral change.

• Provide training and coaching to families, caregivers, and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for consistent implementation.

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with HIPAA , ODP , and organizational standards.

• Analyze behavioral data to assess progress and adjust interventions as needed.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and person-centered support.

• Communicate effectively in English and Spanish to promote understanding and cultural responsiveness.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.

• Completion of Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and Positive Behavioral Support (PBS) training*
  *( Exempt if candidate holds a PA Behavior Specialist License, BCBA, or BCaBA )

• Strong knowledge of behavioral assessment , treatment planning , and data-driven intervention .

Educational & Licensure Pathways (must meet one):
✅ Master’s Degree Path:
Master’s in Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or Gerontology.

✅ License Path:
Active PA Behavior Specialist License .

✅ Bachelor’s Degree Path:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with supervision by a qualified professional (proof required).

Preferred Skills & Traits:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) – required for select caseloads.

• Proficient in ABA , PBS , and person-centered planning.

• Empathetic, patient, and skilled at building rapport with families and interdisciplinary teams.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Organized and detail-oriented, with a commitment to compliance and best practices.
