Business Intelligence Engineer

Full time hybrid opening for a BI Engineer with strong Power BI experience. Experience with Fabric is strongly preferred. This position on the Enterprise Data Services team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data presentation tools. The role will also collaborate with other team members on data engineering projects.

This is a hybrid position and requires three days on site. With some flexibility once established.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, administer, and support Power BI reporting and dashboard solutions

• Support and assist in the decommissioning of Qlik-based reporting and dashboard tools

• Serve as an internal subject matter expert on reporting tools and dashboard design practices

• Learn and maintain an understanding of transactional system data and reporting delivery methods

• Apply data governance and metadata management best practices in development work

• Collaborate with technical and business teams to address data presentation needs

• Create and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation for end-user applications

• Partner with the IS Compliance team to provide evidence for audits and certification renewals

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of BI tools, reporting standards, and data processes

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience with Power BI

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric development is preferred

• Experience with Qlik Suite (Qlik Sense, NPrinting) preferred but not required

• Familiarity with source control and release processes using Azure DevOps and Git

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

• Understanding of enterprise-scale data management methodologies and frameworks (such as DAMA DMBOK)

• Strong ability to work with both technical and non-technical users to define and deliver reporting needs

• Some experience writing T-SQL queries preferred

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
