Job Details – Flagstaff, AZ Nursing Opportunity

• Location: Flagstaff, Arizona 86001
• Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Hospital
• Assignment Length: 26 weeks (8/25/2025 – 2/23/2026)
• Shift: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• On-Call: Average 2 call shifts per 8-week schedule (12-hour blocks, days or nights)
• Scrub Color: Any color
• Charting System: Cerner
• Free Parking Available
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1890 - $1940

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in a hospital setting
• Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact nursing license
• BLS (American Heart Association) – Required
• ACLS – Required
• Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring – Required
• NRP – Required
• AWHONN Advanced (Intermediate or Advanced, must be in-person) – Required
• Ability to float within Labor & Delivery, SCN, or PEDS after orientation
• Comfortable circulating C-sections
• First-time travel nurses welcome

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units, including OB triage, labor support, circulating C-sections, postpartum couplet care, and newborn transitions
• Float as needed within the department and to Special Care Nursery (SCN) or Pediatrics (PEDS) to provide clinical support
• Conduct high-risk antepartum and newborn assessments
• Start and maintain peripheral IVs, perform sterile vaginal exams, and triage obstetrical patients
• Ensure adherence to hospital quality and patient safety standards, including medication administration protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
