What will I be doing?
The Sales Manager is responsible for building and managing strategic corporate accounts. This Team Member will oversee corporate clients’ group and transient travel, and monitor revenue production and potential, booking patterns and history, and decision-making factors. The Sales Manager will build a book of business, then achieve quotas for booked revenue, leads, and prospecting and entertainment calls.

- Ability to manage time productively in a remote working environment
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with current and future accounts
- Make introductions to clients during sales calls, tradeshows, conventions, and local events
- Assist with conflict resolution, contract negotiation, support of the organization’s business and revenue needs, and closing sales
- Responsible for timely documentation of sales activity through lead and call reports
- Submit monthly reports and as requested reports; complete projects and deliverables in an accurate and timely manner
- Develop and execute a focused sales solicitation plan for distressed, holiday, and need periods for the hospitality industry
- Manage and attend trade shows/industry events as needed
- Good listening and time management skills
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills, as well as excellent written communication skills
- Ability to manage change, resolve conflicts and ensure collaboration within teams and/or units; includes maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity
- Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required to fulfill responsibilities in keeping with core strategic goals
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate
- Ability to advocate and implement professional development for self, direct reports and others, including the capacity to work with peers and other resources to provide development and mentoring opportunities; includes adherence to organization’s standards for performance feedback
- Ability to work independently and manage the independent work of other Team Members as appropriate; includes the ability to recognize the need for involvement of other teams and peers and the capacity to effectively facilitate that collaboration
What are we looking for?
The successful candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the hospitality industry (Hotel, Vacation Rental, OTA)
- 3 Years of sales management experience in the hospitality industry (Hotel, Vacation Rental, OTA)
- Strong customer focused selling skills
- Full knowledge and community connections within at least one of the cities within Region.
- Proven track record of successfully analyzing data to make strategic and tactical decisions
- Understanding of the principles and practical application of hotel/vacation rental transient, leisure and group sales
- Skilled in creation of Action and/or business plans in support of personal and company goals.
- Understanding of hotel/vacation rental industries, including a detailed knowledge of ADR, Occupancy andRevPAR
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook and equivalent Google products, including the ability to understand and manipulate basic spreadsheets
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
