Shift: 3x12 Days (07:00–19:00) or Nights (19:00–07:00)
Patient Ratio: Minimum 6:1
Float Requirement: As needed within the hospital

Job Description:

Excela Westmoreland Hospital is seeking an experienced Med-Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care on a diverse adult patient population. The RN will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to manage patients with cardiac, pulmonary, and general medical conditions in a dynamic hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a Med-Surg/Telemetry setting.

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to telemetry alarms appropriately.

• Administer medications, IV therapy, and manage central/peripheral lines.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and others to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Follow hospital protocols for isolation, safety, and emergency response.

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care.

• Float to other units as needed based on hospital requirements.

Requirements:

• Licensure: Active PA RN License (or compact license valid in PA)

• Experience: Minimum 2 years Med-Surg/Telemetry RN experience

• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required

• Charting System: Not specified
