POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Nurse Manager is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of Health Services operations, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, compliant, and person‑centered healthcare services for individuals supported by InVision Customized Services. This role manages LPN Health Services staff, supports effective workflows, and serves as a clinical and operational resource to ensure continuity of care, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide leadership and management oversight of Health Services staff, including performance management, coaching, and development.

  • Oversee the coordination and quality of healthcare services to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, organizational policies, and best practices.

  • Ensure physician‑ordered treatments, healthcare recommendations, and medical plans are implemented appropriately and timely.

  • Serve as a clinical and operational resource to internal teams, supporting problem resolution and escalation of health‑related issues.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between Health Services, internal departments, and external medical providers.

  • Support organizational quality assurance efforts related to health services, documentation, and outcomes.

 

Other Essential Functions:

 

  • Lead and facilitate Health Services team meetings to communicate expectations, updates, and priorities.

  • Oversee the accuracy, completeness, and maintenance of medical records and healthcare documentation.

  • Ensure standardized and individualized healthcare protocols are developed, implemented, and followed, including protocols addressing medical conditions common within the IDD population.

  • Support interdisciplinary planning and participation in health‑related goal development and outcome monitoring.

  • Provide guidance to residential and program teams regarding healthcare compliance under Chapters 6100 and 6400.

 

Other Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Serve as the primary liaison with pharmacies, hospitals, community providers, and regulatory agencies related to health services.

  • Support staff, individuals supported, and their designees through education and guidance related to diagnoses, medications, and healthcare needs.

  • Provide consultation and support during medical appointments, hospitalizations, or care transitions, as needed.

  • Perform or support basic health assessments and review of vital signs as operationally necessary.

  • Participate in on‑call nursing coverage for Health Services, as assigned.

  • Participate in department and inter‑departmental workgroups, audits, and quality improvement initiatives as assigned.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Nurse Manager provides direct supervision of LPN Health Services staff. Responsibilities include performance evaluations, coaching, feedback, corrective action when necessary, and support of ongoing professional development.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Current PA Licensed Practical Nurse

  • Prior supervisory or management experience in a healthcare setting

  • Professional experience with the intellectually/developmentally disabled population, a plus.

  • Professional experiences with the medically and behaviorally complex, a plus.

  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)

 

Other Requirements:

 

  • Travel within the service region for home visits & meetings, as needed.

  • Ability to maintain confidential information within HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies.

  • Planning and time management and strong organizational skills.

  • Valid PA Driver’s License

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Act 34 clearance and FBI background check, if applicable

  • Successful completion of motor vehicle records and background check.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
