Senior manager corporate payroll

The Opportunity
- Under the general direction of the Director, you will address and resolve daily payroll processing issues as they arise, following general QVCG practice and policy. You will provide direction and guidance to their direct reports, site payroll assistants and HR personnel. You will have the authority to make payroll process changes, leading to greater efficiency and accuracy in work output while also ensuring compliance with internal and external audit expectations.

Your Impact
- Provide direction to the payroll staff to ensure all QVCG payrolls are processed timely and accurately.
- Identify control weaknesses and process improvement opportunities and implement changes.
- Oversee the distribution of paychecks, while ensuring all payroll runs are balanced and approved following established payroll processes and internal/external control procedures.
- Participate in the selection of qualified departmental personnel.
- Recommend, review and approve personnel actions, including hiring, promotions and raises.
- Monitor performance of direct reports, including growth and development of personnel, mentoring, team building and succession planning. Provide regular coaching and counseling, while holding regular 1x1s.
What You Bring
- In-depth knowledge of DOL and FLSA, and state payroll regulations
- Knowledge of LTI plans, ex-pat processing, relocation activities.
- 8+ years experience in a large payroll processing environment.
- 8+ years experience with payroll processing for multiple states, and leading multi-location and multi-EIN payroll processing.
- 5+ years direct experience with payroll tax processing and related activities, including year-end, W-2
- 5 years+ management and leadership experience.
- Ex-Pat payroll processing and related activities
- Working experience with 401k and other benefit plans, LTI and deferred compensation activities, and relocation.
- Workday and TimeHub experience.
Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
