Staff Accountant Location: Pittsburgh, PA Schedule: On-site first 90 days, then hybrid (at least 2 days in office / 3 days remote) Compensation: $65,000 - $90,000 (depending on experience) We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our clients accounting team based in Pittsburgh. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a project-based, fast-paced environment and wants to grow with a stable, well-established organization. Key Responsibilities- Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting activities.
- Prepare and assist with financial reporting.
- Handle accounts receivable and related reconciliations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and analysis as needed.
- Experience: Ideally ~4+ years of accounting experience, but we are flexible for the right candidate (prior Staff Accountant or strong junior accountant experience considered).
- Strong preference for experience in project-based industries, such as:
- Construction
- Architecture
- Field service
- Oil & gas
- Biomedical or other industrial/project environments
- Technical Skills: Solid understanding of GL, AR, and reconciliations.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
- Experience with SL, Sage, Oracle, or SAP is considered transferable and valuable.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
