Senior Engineer - PE
The Opportunity
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will take a lead role in project delivery while supporting the development of EIT’s m and designers. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys technical leadership, client interaction, and guiding projects from concept through permitting and approval.
You will have the opportunity to influence project direction, represent clients, and play a key role in maintaining Red Barn Consulting’s high standards for quality and responsiveness.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development of land development plans, stormwater management plans, and NPDES permit applications
- Perform and oversee stormwater management analysis and design
- Coordinate and mentor engineers and civil designers, including integration of GIS data into civil designs
- Conduct and oversee on-site investigations and data analysis
- Manage project schedules, deliverables, and agency coordination
- Represent clients at municipal, township, and construction meetings
- Serve as project lead and technical point of contact
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or agricultural engineering
- Licensed PE
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D
- Willingness to occasionally travel to job sites
- Positive attitude toward problem-solving and overcoming challenges
- Clear communicator who collaborates well with team members
- Self-motivated and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality
- Experience with PennDOT driveway permitting
- Experience completing PADEP Sewer Modules
