Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Flex Access Control and Patrol in Mount Joy, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control and Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entrances, check badges, and conduct regular patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Flex* - Part Time
Pay Rate: $21.63 / Hour
Job Schedule:
- *Must be available to work ALL SHIFTS AND ALL DAYS OF THE WEEK*
- *Required to cover for special projects, call offs, vacations and open shifts*

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at your assigned site/s.
- Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment within the site premises.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the site and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential issues.
- Assist with emergency response activities as needed, in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal protocols.
- Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behavior.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Security experience of 6+ months or the equivalent.
- Access control / Badge experience.
- Alarm panel experience.
- Comfortable using computer or tablet.
- Customer service experience.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
