We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering to join our team within Heavy Industrial/Utility consulting This is an exceptional opportunity for an innovative and forward-thinking professional who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will be responsible for overseeing all electrical engineering operations, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet the current and future needs of the organization. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in electrical engineering, specifically in the construction industry, and will have a demonstrated track record of success in managing high-performing teams. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all electrical engineering projects, operations, and related activities to ensure they are executed effectively and within the allocated budget.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall performance in the electrical engineering department.
- Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure all electrical engineering projects align with the overall business objectives.
- Lead the design and testing of electrical systems, utilizing software such as SKM, ETAP, and AutoCAD.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including NEC and high voltage safety standards.
- Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Oversee power generation and utility operations, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Develop and manage the department's financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Continuously monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards; recommend and implement changes as necessary.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy industrial/electrical engineering.
- PE license required
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, high voltage safety standards, and NEC regulations.
- Proficiency in using electrical engineering software such as Revit, SKM, ETAP, and AutoCAD.
- Experience in power generation and utility operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Exceptional strategic planning and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
