Join B&G Manufacturing Co., Inc. in Hatfield, PA and help us deliver precision metal components that power critical industries. As a CNC Set‑Up Machinist on our Production team, you’ll make sure our equipment runs safely, efficiently, and with exacting accuracy.

A day in the life

• Prepare and configure CNC mills and lathes: load/edit programs, set tooling, establish work/tool offsets, and verify reference points.
• Run precision operations per routers, work orders, and blueprints, including cutting, drilling, milling, boring, and broaching.
• Complete first‑article and in‑process inspections using measurement tools to confirm full conformance to specifications.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workstation, following all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisors and teammates on status updates, issues, and improvement ideas.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance throughput, quality, and repeatability.

What you bring

• 3+ years of CNC set‑up and operation experience.
• Strong grasp of machining fundamentals, blueprint interpretation, and quality control methods.
• Applied math skills, including geometry and trigonometry, for precise set‑ups and measurement.
• Ability to apply offsets and troubleshoot using sound judgment.
• Commitment to safety and high quality standards.

Preferred

• Formal training in CNC machining or related technical discipline.
• Experience with G‑Code and CAM tools such as Mastercam and/or ESPRIT.
• Familiarity with multiple CNC machine types.

Physical demands

• Comfort working in a manufacturing environment while using required PPE.
• Ability to move, install/remove, adjust, and handle materials up to 70 lbs.
• Frequent standing, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.

Tools & proficiency

• Proficiency: CAD software; Blueprint Reading.
• Machines & technologies you’ll use: CAD software.
