Lead .NET Developer

Job Description

A healthcare payor client is hiring for a Production Developer Lead to support their LTSS Care Management system by taking hands-on ownership of production development, enhancements, and defect resolution while leading an offshore production support team. This role is not a functional-only or coordination role. The ideal candidate is a strong technical lead who actively codes, debugs, and delivers production fixes and enhancements, while also driving execution, accountability, and quality across a distributed (onshore/offshore) team. You will serve as both a technical SME and a people leader, partnering closely with business stakeholders, developers, and vendors to keep systems stable, scalable, and continuously improving. Daily Tasks include:

Development & Production Engineering

• Developing production enhancements

• Fixing defects and addressing root causes

• Review logs, SQL queries, backend processes, and data anomalies to resolve complex production issue

Production Support & Continuous Improvement

• Analyze production metrics and KPIs, identifying trends and system bottlenecks

• Lead impact assessments for releases, upgrades, and configuration changes

• Ensure accurate execution of production schedules and releases

Leadership & Team Oversight

• Lead offshore production team with task planning, code quality reviews

• Serve as the top technical escalation point for complex production issues

• Reviewing deliverables and ensuring SLA adherence

Skills and Requirements

• 7+ years in a .NET based development and production environment for enterprise applications

• Healthcare payer experience specifically within the Medicare/Medicaid space

• 4+ years leading development or production teams

• Experience leading or working closely with offshore teams

• SQL experience with querying, troubleshooting and data validation

• Experience with SDLC and Agile/Scrum delivery

• Proven ability to:

• Troubleshoot complex production issues

• Deliver fixes under pressure

• Balance development work with leadership responsibilities - Experience supporting LTSS Care Management systems is strongly preferred

• 5-7+ years of experience in:

o System integrations (EDI, vendor platforms, claims systems)

o Automation initiatives in production environments

o CBAP or relevant technical certifications preferred
