What You'll Be Doing

As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you'll play a key role in building and maintaining roads, parking lots, commercial developments, and critical infrastructure throughout the region.

Daily Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on active construction sites.
• Run asphalt rollers, pavers, milling machines, backhoes, skid steers, compactors, and other construction equipment.
• Perform grading, excavation, trenching, site preparation, and paving activities.
• Support road construction, asphalt paving, parking lot installations, and municipal infrastructure projects.
• Read grades, stakes, site plans, and construction drawings to ensure accurate work.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Perform minor equipment maintenance to maximize uptime and productivity.
• Work closely with project managers, foremen, truck drivers, and field crews to keep projects on schedule.
• Follow PennDOT specifications, OSHA regulations, and company safety standards.
• Assist crews with additional site responsibilities when needed.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• Experience in asphalt paving, road construction, excavation, grading, or site development.
• Ability to safely operate multiple pieces of construction equipment.
• Experience reading site grades, stakes, and construction drawings.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Reliable transportation to projects primarily located east of Pittsburgh.
• Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays during peak season.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monroeville, PA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
