Pride Health is hiring a phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility based in Philadelphia PA 19120. This is a 3+ month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Shift: Eastern: 7:30a-3:30p Mon - Fri every other weekend

Pay rate: $19.85- $21.79/hr. on w2/Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Details:

· The Patient Services Representative (PSR II) represent the face of our company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.

· PSR II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.

· The PSR II have direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.

· The PSR II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center or as business needs dictate.

· Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.

Job Responsibilities:

· Perform safe, accurate venipuncture and capillary blood draws, including pediatric and geriatric collections

· Conduct clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures

· Prepare, label, verify, and process specimens for laboratory testing

· Verify patient demographics, initials, and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling

· Clearly explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort, trust, and confidence

· Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards

· Perform daily duties accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor

· Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment

· Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and confidentiality of patient information

Job Requirements:

· Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Excellent customer service and communication skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting

· Demonstrated professional judgment and decision-making

· Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if applicable)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of phlebotomy experience is preferred inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.

· Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred. Customer service in a preferred retail or service environment.

· Keyboard/data entry experience.
