Transportation Construction Inspectors (All levels - Trainees, Inspectors, Senior)

ATCS's Construction Services group is expanding our cadre in Pennsylvania! We are looking for individuals with PA construction management and inspection experience.

We're open to candidates with varying levels of experience - Inspectors, Trainees, Senior Inspectors to join our team in Harrisburg, PA and surrounding areas!

Duties:

• Perform transportation construction inspections on Highway, Bridges, Environmental, Traffic, and Facilities type projects
• Write daily progress reports
• Oversight of contractor work crews to ensure compliance with contract documents, reading and interpretation of contract documents to verify that safe construction practices are being utilized to produce quality results
• Perform field test on materials (concrete slump/air, soil compaction, and HMA)
• Complete documentation of materials, labor compliance, safety, processing estimates, work orders, and adjustments
• Report on-site activities and daily progress to the Project Engineer via standardized reporting, responsible for calculation and determination of pay quantities

Basic Qualifications:

• Recent graduates with Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or other related degrees will be considered. 4+ years of heavy highway experience or 2+ years of transportation construction inspection experience will also be considered.
• 2+ years' experience in construction, civil engineering, project management, or materials inspection
• Knowledgeable in PennDOT Road & Bridges specifications and standards
• Knowledge of mathematics to include algebra, geometry and trigonometry
• Skill in the use of field engineering and testing equipment, inspection methods and materials
• Possession of or ability to obtain required certifications within 12 months of employment and maintain
  • PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification
  • NICET Level 2-4 in Transportation & Highway Construction
  • OSHA 10 Hour Safety
  • PennDOT NECEPT
  • ACI Concrete Field – Testing Technician
  • PennDOT Flagger Training or equivalent
• Valid Drivers’ License
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Proficient in Site Manager, or other project management software

Our employees are the most critical part of ATCS. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $21.43 to $36.82 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus, with a target 2% of the employee's annualized salary.
