Pay: $25-31/hr.
Shift: Day, depends on job site
Description:
- Cannonball Recruiting is seeking a Millwright/Field Mechanic responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Millwright, Field Mechanic or similar role in an industrial setting
- Ability to travel to job sites and commute to the shop
- Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, including hydraulics and pneumatics
- Proficiency with precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, levels, and laser alignment equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights when necessary
Job Duties:
- Read and interpret diagrams, schematic drawings, and service manuals to determine work procedures
- Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts accurately
- Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
- Align and test equipment, making necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation
- Perform predictive and operational procedures to maintain equipment efficiency
- Repair or replace defective parts as needed
- Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required
- Maintain an inventory of replacement parts and order new parts as necessary
