AAU Boys Basketball — Head & Assistant Coach Openings (Spring/Summer 2026)

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Program Level: 6th Grade through High School Varsity Boys

Compensation: Stipend per season

Our AAU program(Team Far From Average) in Philadelphia is actively seeking dedicated, passionate, and professional Head and Assistant Coaches for multiple age groups ranging from 6th Grade to High School Varsity beginning Spring 2026.

We are a family-oriented, competitive travel program that values player development, accountability, professionalism, and long-term growth. We compete to win — but we do it the right way.

Ideal Candidates (Head or Assistant)

• Must hold or be willing to obtain USA Basketball Gold Coaching License
• High basketball IQ and understanding of modern systems/concepts
• Professional, dependable, and committed to scheduled practices/tournaments
• Strong communication skills with players and parents
• Passionate about developing young athletes — not just rolling out the ball or looking to get paid
• Competitive mindset while maintaining high character and teaching values
• Willing to collaborate, learn, and grow within a program culture

Responsibilities

Head Coach

• Lead team practices, in-game strategy, player development plans
• Set team standards, manage rotations, communicate expectations
• Work directly with program leadership on culture & seasonal goals

Assistant Coach

• Support Head Coach in practices, game preparation, and player development
• Assist with skill work, film breakdown, scouting, and in-game adjustments
• Be ready to step up when needed — leadership mentality is valued
