Job Description



Position Information:

  • Location: Lancaster/Lititz, PA area

  • Hours: 7am-3:30pm M-F (no weekends unless inclement weather occurs)

  • Hourly rate: $18-$19/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, planting, and weeding, to maintain attractive grounds.

  • Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds through proper care, pruning, and seasonal planting.

  • Operate and maintain groundskeeping tools and equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.

  • Clean and maintain outdoor areas, including walkways, parking lots, and recreational spaces, ensuring safety and tidiness.

  • Assist with irrigation system tasks, including installation, repairs, and monitoring watering schedules.

  • Identify and address issues such as pests, plant diseases, or damaged areas in need of repair or replanting.

  • Dispose of debris, waste, and recyclables generated during groundskeeping activities.

  • Collaborate with the grounds management team to prioritize tasks and meet seasonal goals.

  • Follow all safety protocols when working with tools, chemicals, and machinery.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Grounds Manager or designee.

Work Environment:
This position involves outdoor work in various weather conditions and exposure to elements such as dirt, dust, and pollen. The role requires frequent lifting, bending, stooping, and handling of landscaping tools and equipment. Groundskeepers must adhere to safety guidelines to minimize risk of injury.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods.

  • Lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds regularly.

  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely.

  • Perform tasks that involve bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.

Qualifications



Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or a similar field is a plus.

  • Basic knowledge of plants, irrigation systems, and groundskeeping equipment.

  • Previous groundskeeping experience in a healthcare or large property setting.

  • Drug screen
  • Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
