Bookkeeper

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: No Degree Required Responsibilities
- Recording Transactions: Daily recording of purchases, sales, invoices, and payments, often using software like QuickBooks.
- Reconciling Accounts: Matching internal records (general ledger) against bank statements to ensure accuracy.
- Managing Accounts: Overseeing accounts payable (money owed to vendors) and accounts receivable (money owed by customers).
- Payroll Processing: Calculating, processing, and paying employee salaries.
- Financial Reporting: Preparing reports such as balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements for management or accountants.
- Compliance Support: Maintaining accurate records for tax filings.
