Communications Assistant
Agricultural Veterinary Associates, LLC is looking to fill a Part Time Communications role Monday through Friday, 12PM – 5PM. The Ag Vet Office is located in Brickerville, where the applicant will serve as the primary point of contact during afternoon hours.
In the position you will assess client needs, gather accurate details and communicate the information to the veterinarians working out in the field.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to remain calm and multitask are essential skills the candidate must hold.
Agricultural Veterinary Associates, LLC is a mobile Veterinary practice where all work is done out in the field. We do not perform any veterinary services at our office location.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
· Receiving a high volume of calls, often with urgent needs or unusual situations
· Scheduling client appointments using the Trello software
· Overseeing client-veterinarian communications
· Scanning and digitally filing paperwork in the Google Drive systems
· Handling all rabies vaccine records, including filing paperwork, mailing certificates and confirming billing
· Miscellaneous tasks from the Finance and Pharmacy departments. Folding bills, assembling pharmacy orders and assisting with needs as they arise
Role Expectations:
This role requires an independent problem solver with the ability to think on their feet and handle situations that may not have a scripted answer. You will be the first point of contact to a client in need of assistance with a sick or emergent animal situation. You will need to ask clarifying questions, prioritize requests and communicate this information promptly and accurately.
Final selection requires the successful completion of a two-part interview process.
