Registered Nurse (RN) – CVOR | Scrub & Circulate

Location : 5501 Old York Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19141
Travel Contract | 13 Weeks with possible extension | Full-Time

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse with strong cardiovascular surgical experience . This role requires full competency in both scrubbing and circulating complex cardiac cases in a Level I Trauma environment .

Schedule

• Day Shift: 6:45 AM – 5:00 PM (4x10s)
• 40 hours/week
• On-Call Required:
  • 1–2 days per week
  • 1 weekend/month
  • Holiday call rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Assist in complex cases such as:
  • CABG, valve replacements, TAVR
  • Aortic aneurysm repairs
  • LVAD/RVAD procedures
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to OR protocols
• Monitor patient status and respond to intraoperative changes
• Handle surgical instruments, specimen labeling, and documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams

Clinical Experience

• Cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
• Trauma and emergency surgical cases
• Hybrid OR and general OR exposure
• Equipment: cell saver, electrosurgical units, advanced OR instrumentation

Additional Details

• Floating required to Main OR and Einstein Montgomery (cardiac cases)
• Scrubs provided
• Adult & geriatric patient population
• Strong interdisciplinary support team

 Local radius: 50 miles (local rate applies)

 RTO must be submitted upfront (no changes after submissiPA fingerprints required (may require travel)

• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Interview availability required at submission

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years CVOR experience
• Must be able to Scrub & Circulate
• Active Pennsylvania RN License (required at submission)
• BLS & ACLS certifications
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Experience with Cerner (Surginet) preferred
