Windows 11 Deployment Technician
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the deployment and upgrade of Windows 11 on desktops and laptops
- Prepare, image, and configure new hardware according to company standards
- Perform system checks to ensure devices meet Windows 11 compatibility requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic deployment, hardware, and software issues
- Support users during and after deployment, including setup and initial use
- Document deployment processes, issues, and resolutions
- Maintain inventory records for devices and deployment assets
- Follow IT security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians or administrators as needed
- Associate’s degree in IT or related field preferred
- 6 months to 2 years of hands-on IT support or desktop support experience
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems (Windows 10 and/or Windows 11)
- Familiarity with PC hardware, peripherals, and basic networking concepts
- Ability to follow technical procedures and documented processes
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new tools and technologies
