Senior Transition Generalist

Senior Transition Generalist works as part of a diverse team to help seniors and their families gracefully get rid of things they no longer need. The work is part-time and can vary from 10-25 hours per week. You will work as part of a fun team helping people move or downsize some interesting things and learn great stories. Each job is helping a family overwhelmed by the idea of dealing with too much stuff and they love us for solving their problems. We are flexible and can accommodate individuals who only have certain days available due to another job or caregiving responsibilities. We work in people's homes, so a reliable vehicle is a requirement, as well as clearance of a background check for criminal prosecution.

Some specific tasks include the following:

working with seniors and families to sort and organize their things
creating online auctions using your smartphone and the CTBIDs Seller App. This includes writing descriptions and taking photos of things in people's homes with an eye for maximizing saleability
working with the team at auction pickups, where buyers come to the client's home to pick up the items they won
boxing up unwanted items and taking them to a donation center, such as Goodwill or the ReUzit Store using your own vehicle

Locations are generally within a 45-minute driving distance of Lancaster City. We work with clients as far west as Central and Southern York County and all through Lancaster County. Each week you will find yourself in different place.

Pay starts at $16/hr. After a 2-month probation and passing a background check, hourly wage increases to $17/hr. Staff with management responsibilities earn more and everyone gets modest cost of living increases each year. We are especially interested in individuals who have ambitions to grow with the company. After 6 months of experience, additional responsibilities may be available with commensurate compensation. These responsibilities may include shipping, business development and marketing, and leading small teams.
