Plant Manager - Industrial Manufacturing

Title : Plant Manager (General Manager)
Location : Erie, PA (on-site) - relocation package available for the right candidate
Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 + performance bonus
Requirements: Proven leadership experience in electromechanical repair, shop operations, or industrial service environments

The General Manager will oversee day-to-day operations and profitability of the Erie, PA facility, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality workmanship, and safe operations. This role requires strong leadership in electromechanical systems, excellent organizational and project management skills, and close collaboration with sales, field service, and shop teams. Safety, quality, and execution are core expectations.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Communicate regularly with sales leadership regarding shop workload and capacity
• Keep sales engaged throughout the quoting and follow-up processes
• Oversee daily shop operations, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation
• Prioritize repair, rebuild, and maintenance jobs to meet customer deadlines
• Maintain shop equipment, tools, and facilities; coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance
• Monitor inventory and manage the ordering of parts and materials
• Provide expertise in electric motor repair, testing, troubleshooting, and rebuilds
• Perform hands-on technical work when needed to support shop demand
• Lead, mentor, and develop shop technicians and support staff
• Enforce company safety policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements
• Conduct safety meetings and promote a safe working environment

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in electric motor repair, maintenance, or service (industrial motors preferred)
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Prior experience in shop management, project management, or facility management
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with ERP/work order systems and standard office software

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisory or leadership experience in a technical or industrial environment
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, and job tracking
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards
• Technical certifications related to electric motors or industrial maintenance
