About the role .
The Health and Safety Coordinator is required to assist and support in the development and execution of the health, safety and security agenda for the cold storage warehouse site, focusing on continuous improvement of health and safety policies and procedures, injury prevention, safety management, plant security, crisis management, and compliance with all applicable legislation.
What you’ll be doing.
- Ensures adherence to all relevant federal, state, provincial, municipal, and company safety rules and regulations by conducting of day-to-day compliance activities.
 - Conducts regular Key Elements of Safety (KES) inspections of equipment and facilities and serves as a resource for employee safety committees in collaboration with the Warehouse Manager and/or Regional Health & Safety Leaders.
 - Conducts health & safety audits (including rack inspections) and supports the site leadership team in closing audit findings' root cause corrective actions and other assessment findings within the required timeframe(s).
 - Monitors the following programs to identify and recommend behavioural changes required to improve safety: STEP, Safety Tickets, Near Miss, Truck to Truck and Crown Infolink monitoring.
 - Analyze safety interaction data, incidents, and injury trends to identify areas for training improvements, behavioral changes, and/or other operational and workflow enhancement opportunities.
 - Assists supervisors in investigating workplace incidents and devising action plans to prevent recurrences.
 - Audits the contractor management program to ensure contractors' safety training, safe work plans, and insurance requirements are met, and permits are completed effectively.
 - Maintain the McCain OSHA/OH&S programs to ensure adherence to company, regulatory, and any other health & safety requirements, including compliance with established procedures, documentation completion, and annual reviews.
 - Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track health & safety and operational performance.
 - Conducts training on health & safety topics for management and staff.
 
What you’ll need to be successful.
· Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s Degree required: A focus in health and safety strongly preferred.
· Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, or accredited Health & Safety Certification is desired.
· At least 3 years of Health & Safety experience.
· ISO Management Systems experience is preferred.

Compensation Package : $65,500.00 - $87,400.00 . USD annually + Bonus eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
