Role Responsibilities Include:
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinating scheduling and logistics for all ophthalmic surgeries
· Performing cataract testing and measurements
· Ensuring completeness and accuracy of documentation prior to surgery
· Verifying insurance coverage and clearly communicate financial responsibilities to patients
· Maintaining proactive and clear communication with patients, surgeons, and staff
· Managing clerical and administrative duties related to records and scheduling
· Delivering outstanding customer service and address patient inquiries with care and professionalism
· Traveling to multiple office locations as needed
Requirements :
· Prior experience as a Surgical Coordinator or Ophthalmic Assistant or Technician
· Excellent attention to detail and documentation review skills
· Strong communication skills and professional phone etiquette
· Experience with insurance verification
· Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
· A self-starter who can manage their own responsibilities and thrives in a fast-paced setting
