Material Coordinator

**About the Role
**
As a Materials Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials to support our operational needs. You’ll oversee material forecasting, planning, and inventory accuracy while maintaining a clean, organized workspace in alignment with 5S standards. This role is integral to the overall success of our facility and offers an opportunity to make a tangible impact every day.
**What You’ll Do
**
Material Management
- Receive, store, and issue materials while maintaining precise inventory records.
- Verify materials for quality compliance and input data into the ERP system.
- Monitor stock levels, anticipate reorder points, and coordinate material deliveries.
Logistics and Coordination
- Track shipments and collaborate with the purchasing team to expedite orders when necessary.
- Support regional material strategies with a service-oriented mindset.
Vendor and Reporting
- Contribute to vendor performance evaluations by providing key data.
- Prepare and present reports on inventory levels, delivery statuses, and related activities.
Organization and Safety
- Maintain an organized, well-labeled storage area following 5S standards.
- Adhere to safety and quality assurance protocols.
Material Handling
- Transport materials between departments using manual or material handling equipment as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with other duties as directed by management.
**What We’re Looking For
**
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, or materials handling.
- Strong proficiency in Excel with a knack for data accuracy and analysis.
- High attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with 5S practices and cycle counting.
- Experience with ERP systems or a willingness to learn.
Preferred Skills
- Background in supply chain management principles.
- Knowledge of planning, procurement, and logistics.
- Experience in a manufacturing highly preferred.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
