CAM Innovation is seeking an experienced Senior Controls Design Engineer to lead the design, and commissioning of control systems for custom machinery. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who can independently drive projects from concept through startup.

Position Overview
As a Senior Controls Design Engineer, you will take full ownership of control system design. You will play a key role in strengthening our in-house engineering capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design complete control systems based on customer and internal specifications.
- Select and size electrical components.
- Support the creation of electrical schematics and layouts.
- Develop Bills of Materials for purchasing and production.
- Support machine startup, testing, and commissioning.
- Troubleshoot systems and support customers and service team.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering (Electrical, Controls, or similar preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in controls design (PLC programming experience a plus).
- Proven ability to independently design and implement control systems.
- Solid understanding of electrical controls, wiring, and component selection.
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Willingness to travel for installations and customer support.
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days):
- Supporting active machine builds.
- Taking ownership of assigned controls design projects.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $90,000 – $110,000 (based on experience).
