Operations Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day ACH operations in a high-volume financial environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely processing of ACH files and originations, managing a team of specialists, and using data/technology to improve performance, capacity planning, and operational controls.

What Youll Do

• Lead daily ACH operations, ensuring integrity and efficiency of transaction processing and posting. Along with coach, develop and manage a team.
• Oversee inbound file intake and posting to customer accounts.
• Manage ACH origination processing throughout the day at scheduled processing windows.
• Ensure accurate balancing and reconciliation of prior-day activity, including high-dollar transaction totals.
• Oversee ACH disputes and ensure compliant, well-documented, correct decision-making—especially when the bank is financially impacted.
• Use operational data to identify trends, pinpoint bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.
• Produce clear, data-driven reporting on volume trends, dispute activity, losses, SLA performance, and manual workload drivers.

What Were Looking For (Required)

• Strong hands-on experience in ACH operations (file processing, posting, origination, reconciliation).
• Proven people leadership experience (team management, performance coaching, accountability).
• Strong data analytics skills : ability to interpret operational metrics and turn insights into staffing/process decisions.
• Strong attention to detail, risk/compliance mindset, and ability to work effectively in deadline-driven environments.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with same-day ACH requirements and related regulatory considerations.
• Experience with banking core systems (trainable; core experience is a plus).
• AAP (Accredited ACH Professional) certification (not required initially).
