PJ Dick, Inc ., one of the premier general contractors and construction managers in the Mid-Atlantic region, is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join its vertical construction team in the State College, Pennsylvania area to help manage a growing list of projects.

What the Role Involves:

At the direction of the project manager, you will assist with overall management for an assigned project and help plan, organize, and staff key field positions. You will maintain relationships with subcontractors and A/E contacts to help facilitate construction activities; monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures; monitor compliance with company's safety program.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Educational and experience requirements include: four-year engineering degree or equivalent plus three or more (3+) years of experience/knowledge of vertical construction; understanding of technical plans, specifications, design elements and reports specific to construction of commercial building structures; experience with structural and design analysis, cost estimating, and pre-project planning by preparing construction schedules, submittal schedules, meeting schedules, etc.; superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential.
