Job Title: Highlands Family Center Receptionist/Center Aide
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing secretarial support to the Site Director and family center. Clerical duties would include but are not limited to typing, filing, answering phones and general office work. This position requires an ability to work with children from birth to age five, a general awareness of child development, and other duties as deemed necessary by the Family Center Site Director. This position is accountable for providing childcare during activities at the Family Center and also to provide other related duties as deemed necessary by the Family Center Site Director.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Receptionist :
- Working knowledge of office machines.
- Experience with taking phone messages.
- Tracking drop in families and assisting them with their requests.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to be flexible and perform other tasks as assigned.
Center Aide :
- Provide childcare during Family Center activities, field trips, and other activities and events as deemed necessary by the Family Center Site Director.
- Assists the Family Center Site Director and Family Development Specialist in maintaining care of all center equipment, toys and furnishings.
- Participates as part of the team in Center related activities, planning and preparation.
- Checking and stocking supplies by determining if there are adequate supplies for upcoming activities and events (paper, food, and books), pulling additional materials from storage room, and list supplies that need purchased or re-stocked.
- Attends in-services, workshops, training sessions, staff meetings, and other appropriate meetings. Attend trainings offered by Office of Child Development as related to childcare.
- Performs computer work such as data entry, timely entry of all data, inputting all van runs and groups into the database, produce flyers and informational materials, update mailing lists, and work on calendars and newsletters.
- Clerical skills such as typing, filing, answering telephones, and other related clerical duties as deemed necessary by the Family Center Site Director.
- Other data related responsibilities as assigned by the site director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Two years’ related experience required.
- Basic level expertise with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, organizational and recordkeeping skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, initiative, and ability to work with limited supervision.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
- Ability to comply with AIU policies and procedures.
Additional Requirements:
- Current Act 114, Act 34, Act 151 and NSOR Clearances required prior to an offer (Must be dated within 1 year of hire date). School Personnel Health Record (Form H511.340) must be completed and received by Human Resources prior to hire date.

Position Schedule: Monday – Friday with an occasional evening or Saturday based on Program’s needs
Salary: $32,000.00 (Non Negotiable)
Benefits: 260 Day Full Time
