Travel Registered Nurse OR Job

TLC Healthforce
State College, PA
Imagine elevating surgical care as a Travel Registered Nurse in the OR, bringing precision, empathy, and leadership to operating rooms across Pennsylvania and beyond. In State College, you will join a renowned perioperative team that protects patients at every step—from preoperative assessment through emergence—while collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care. This assignment is designed for nurses who thrive on fast-paced, high-stakes environments and who believe in the power of expert teamwork to restore health and confidence. With your expertise, you’ll help transform outcomes, mentor junior team members, and expand your own clinical horizons as you travel through diverse OR settings. And beyond the hospital walls, Pennsylvania’s mix of scenic beauty, historic towns, and dynamic campuses offers a backdrop that fuels focus and renewal between cases.

State College combines the energy of a thriving university town with access to outdoor adventures, quaint communities, and convenient access to major urban centers across the Northeast. You’ll enjoy living in a community known for academia, culture, and affordable amenities, with easy access to hiking trails, state parks, and seasonal events. The role also provides the opportunity to work in a variety of locations across the United States, exposing you to different hospital cultures, patient populations, and surgical specialties. This variety sharpens your clinical judgment, expands your professional network, and keeps your practice vibrant.

Your core responsibilities include circulating and scrub duties in the OR, maintaining sterile technique, preparing equipment, assisting with case management, adhering to safety protocols, documenting care, and supporting patient and family education. You will partner with anesthesia teams, surgeons, and perioperative staff to optimize anesthesia plans, blood product handling, and instrument counts, while monitoring for complications and promoting rapid recovery. The role offers clear pathways for growth: pursue specialty certifications, broaden your scope through cross-training, or transition into leadership roles within the perioperative suite. Competitive benefits include a sign-on or completion bonus, housing assistance, and opportunities to extend contracts for ongoing placements. We provide robust 24/7 support for traveling clinicians, including your dedicated transition coordinator, on-call nurse navigators, and on-site supervision if needed, ensuring you always have a trusted partner as you move between assignments. Some assignments also offer relocation stipends or on-site housing options to ease your transition and shorten your setup time, so you can focus on patient care from day one.

Our client partners are committed to empowering staff through transparent career ladders, mentorship, continuing education, and a culture of inclusion and respect. We champion professional development by supporting specialty skills, leadership training, and opportunities to mentor peers, while fostering a collaborative environment where every clinician’s voice is heard. By combining clinical autonomy with a strong safety net, the company helps you grow from bedside nurse to seasoned perioperative leader.

Ready to answer the call? If you’re an OR RN ready to impact patient care across diverse settings, apply now to embark on a dynamic travel nursing journey. This is your chance to join a company that values your expertise, supports your growth, and stands by you every step of the way—from Pennsylvania to the beyond. Start date is 03/30/2026, with assignments scheduled in weeks and flexible extensions to suit your goals. Weekly pay ranges from $1,421 to $1,505, with additional bonus opportunities and housing support. Note: hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary; final compensation and guaranteed hours (if any) will be confirmed during the hiring process.
