Skilled Nursing Care Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN)

We’re currently seeking dedicated GPNs for our skilled nursing healthcare center at Luther Acres, a Luthercare community in Lititz, PA. We offer full-time and part-time traditional positions (7A-3P, 3P-11P) and flexible positions.

WHAT YOU DO:

As an GPN at the Luther Acres Healthcare Center, you’re an integral part of providing compassionate care to the residents in our skilled nursing center and ensuring they are comfortable by monitoring their overall health and well-being. You’ll do this in several ways, including: 

1. Under supervision of licensed staff, designate tasks and provide instruction and direction in methods and techniques of nursing and resident care in accordance with established standards and procedures. Ensure that nursing care plans, charts, and treatment schedules are followed by nursing staff. Perform nursing duties following licensure scope of practice.
2. Administer physician-ordered pharmacological agents, therapeutic treatments, peripheral IV therapy, and hypodermic injections. Observe, objectively interpret, record and report resident’s response.
3. Provide information/updates to nursing staff, supervisors, administration, physicians, and other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of care.

Our GPNs are assisted by Certified Nursing Assistants in providing care to our residents.

Luther Acres – located in the charming, historic town of Lititz – is a Continuing Care Retirement Community with a long history of providing excellent care and services. It is part of Luthercare, which is a not-for-profit, faith-based, and mission-driven organization. Luthercare provides a network of services through its full continuum of care with three communities in Lancaster County. Luther Acres is its largest community, with nearly 600 residents living across its independent living cottages and apartments, personal care apartments, and skilled nursing healthcare center. 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

1. Current PA Licensure as a Graduate Practical Nurse
2. Current CPR Certification
