About the Role
A growing, high-quality boutique dental laboratory located approximately 50 minutes northwest of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Dental Ceramist to join its team.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented ceramist who takes pride in producing highly esthetic, precise restorative work and wants to be part of a collaborative, quality-focused lab environment. The right candidate will have a strong eye for detail, consistency, and function, and will be committed to delivering the level of craftsmanship and esthetics that discerning doctors and patients expect from a boutique laboratory setting.
The Dental Ceramist plays a key role in ensuring that each prosthetic is completed to a high standard of esthetics, fit, and finish, and that every case is ready for delivery with quality and care.
Key Responsibilities
The Dental Ceramist will be responsible for:
- Building, contouring, and glazing high-end anterior and posterior restorations, including PFM, e.max, zirconia, and full-arch implant restorations
- Producing the esthetics and quality standards expected by the laboratory’s doctors and customers
- Polishing and finishing restorations prior to final delivery
- Reading and understanding doctor prescriptions in order to determine the processes needed to fulfill each case correctly
- Creating dental prostheses including crowns, bridges, and tooth facings
- Using common dental laboratory tools and equipment, including porcelain ovens, furnaces, pinning equipment, and lathes
- Using designated lab software for task assignment and case completion
- Working independently while also communicating effectively with team members across the laboratory
- Managing cases accurately and efficiently while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
- Performing consistent, high-quality work with or without direct supervision
- Supporting a team-oriented environment focused on craftsmanship, accountability, and excellent service
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Dental Ceramist experience
- 5+ years of Dental Laboratory experience
- Experience with anterior and posterior ceramic restorations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- High level of accuracy and esthetic awareness
- Ability to read prescriptions and follow detailed case instructions
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage deadlines
- Professional demeanor
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Passion for providing extraordinary customer service
- Ethical, honest, and dependable
Preferred Background
The ideal candidate will have experience with:
- High-end esthetic ceramic work
- PFM, e.max, zirconia, and implant-supported restorations
- Full-arch implant restorations
- Boutique or quality-driven laboratory environments
- Working collaboratively with technicians, managers, and other team members to ensure outstanding final results
