Job Summary
Responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports, trends and opportunities within Comcast Business. Maintains journals and ledgers, prepares financial statements, conducts financial studies and coordinates financial projects. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge. We would like to have someone with accounting background but its also very operational with customer inquiries, payment application, etc. Additionally looking for someone that could help automate our manual tasks, so AI/automation knowledge would be a plus. Overall, looking for someone that is a go getter and would be able to stay organized in the fast paced/high volume environment.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Execute day to day financial and Accounts Receivable operations, including payment application, customer account maintenance, and transaction approvals in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Apply and review customer payments (ACH, wire, check, credit card), research unapplied cash, and resolve discrepancies while managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Perform regular customer account reviews to validate balances, aging, credits, and open items; partner with internal teams to resolve account issues.
  • Perform basic credit analysis, and make recommendations regarding credit approval and limits in accordance with company policy.
  • Analyze and track key financial metrics, AR trends, and operational procedures to identify issues and foster process improvements.
  • Perform analysis of financial statement accounts and specific projects, as directed, including reconciliation of subledger activity to the general ledger.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance, particularly related to customer accounts, credit decisions, and transaction approvals.
  • Approves transactions, evaluates opportunities and makes recommendations regarding project progress and future business opportunities.
  • Analyzes and tracks key financial metrics and operational procedures to foster process improvements.
  • Performs analysis of financial statement accounts and specific projects, as directed.
  • Assists with the preparation of weekly, monthly and annual financial reports.
  • Participates with the preparation of month and year-end processes by reviewing actual vs. budget/forecast variances, reviewing financial trends and making recommendations for accruals.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
