Barista
We are a beautiful shop built on our wonderful regulars and are looking for very friendly and personable baristas. We are searching for hard working candidates with strengths in hospitality, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn .
We are currently hiring a Full Time Barista to join our team in Queen Village
Full time: 5 shifts/week, 5.5-8 hour shifts (30+ hours/week)
Responsibilities
Greet every guest with a warm and friendly demeanor- curating a welcoming environment for our customers is our number one priority
Maintain cleanliness standards with attention to detail- daily wiping, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathroom cleaning, garbage consolidation
Daily cleaning and maintenance of specialized coffee equipment
Follow appearance and culture guidelines as outlined in the employee handbook
Communicate with team members and leadership to keep the work environment functioning smoothly
Process POS transactions accurately and take cash, card, and Venmo payments
Prepare drinks and pastries quickly and accurately
Restock and organize inventory when delivered
Restock fridges and lowboys via the FIFO method
Complete all tasks, checklists, and side work before leaving each shift
Bring a positive and professional attitude to each shift
Requirements
18+ years of age
Must be available to work Thursday-Sunday
Must be available to work a mix of morning and afternoon shifts each week
1+ year(s) previous coffee shop or hospitality experience
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted and stand for extended periods
Reference from a previous hospitality employer
