Accounts Payable and Billing Specialist
Barnhart Transportation is growing and looking for a full-time Accounts Payable and Billing Specialist to join our team. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, focused, and fun team!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily processing of billing paperwork submitted by drivers and ensuring accuracy of paperwork submitted
- Daily processing of A/P invoices and researching outstanding balances and credit balances
- High volume of data entry
- Reviewing and reconciling vendor statements
- Requesting W-9 forms
- Working with drivers, dispatch, customers and accounting team
- Assist with front desk coverage as needed
- Other projects as assigned by manager
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1 to 2 years of experience in A/P and/or Billing position preferred
- Experience in the transportation industry a plus
- Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently
- Possesses drive and initiative
- Strong attention to detail
