Location: Bethlehem, PA About The Role We are seeking an experienced logistics professional to oversee and streamline the complete transportation cycle—covering movements from suppliers to our production facilities and ultimately to our customers worldwide. This role involves managing domestic and international shipments (including air, rail, truckload, LTL, intermodal, and drayage), ensuring accuracy in documentation, and fostering strong partnerships with carriers, freight forwarders, and clients. What You’ll Do- Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily shipments using the most suitable transport methods for cost, timing, and service needs.
- Identify opportunities to optimize freight routing and reduce transportation costs without sacrificing service.
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, shipping partners, and customers to ensure smooth and transparent communication.
- Oversee all phases of the logistics process—from order creation through delivery—and address challenges proactively.
- Track key operational metrics to evaluate performance and recommend process enhancements.
- Review, prepare, and verify shipping and customs documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Manage transportation of hazardous goods in line with global safety regulations.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics operations.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on procedures, systems, and safe handling practices.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 7+ years in logistics, traffic management, or supply chain operations—manufacturing industry experience highly valued.
- Solid knowledge of domestic and global shipping practices, including hazardous material transport.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and analytical capabilities.
- Proficient with logistics software and industry-standard tools.
- In-depth understanding of compliance, safety, and transportation regulations.
