Sr. Data Governance Analyst
Role Overview
The Senior Data Governance Analyst is to p articipate in hands-on activities to assess and enhance the maturity of the data governance program across areas such as domain stewardship, metadata management, data quality, and data fluency. Prioritize and deliver key documentation and artifacts within assigned domain areas, including business capability maps and data product requirements. Document both business and technical requirements related to data governance initiatives, with a focus on data quality, stewardship, and metadata management. Support metadata management efforts through requirements documentation for the data catalog, development of metadata models, and process design. Contribute to strategic transformation initiatives by creating documentation, promoting governance practices, delivering training, and serving as an agent of change across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Support data governance maturity initiatives and activities across the organization
- Document business and technical metadata requirements to support governance and reporting needs
- Assist with the implementation of metadata models and content in support of data products and reporting solutions
- Align stewardship and governance artifacts, processes, and practices with enterprise governance standards and procedures
- Create training materials and conduct training sessions related to data governance, metadata management, and data quality initiatives
Required Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Hands-on data governance experience – 7+ years
- Metadata management and data catalog tooling (e.g., Collibra, Alation, DataHub) – 5+ years
- Data quality - 5+ years
- Hands-on data exploration and analysis – 5+ years
- Healthcare Experience – 3+ years
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise data governance
- PBM experience
- DataHub experience
