Job DescriptionC&Z Construction is hiring Demolition Laborer/Drivers to support fire and restoration projects in the field. We have been in business since 1983 and operate in a recession-resistant industry, providing consistent, stable work year-round. This role is ideal for someone looking to get into construction and build a long-term career by learning how structures are built from the ground up.
Growth Opportunity - After 12 months of strong performance and demonstrated work ethic, you may be promoted to a Carpenter Helper position. From there, you will begin learning carpentry skills with the goal of advancing into a Lead Carpenter.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform demolition and removal of fire and water damaged materials
- Assist with job site setup and cleanup
- Support carpenters and project teams
- Handle tools and materials safely
- Assist with contents handling, including moving, packing, and organizing customer belongings
- Participate in emergency response services and on call rotation as needed
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and project completion
Qualified applicants need to have a valid driver's license with prior history of operating commercial vehicles. No prior industry experience is needed, but tolerance for labor intensive work in less-than-ideal environments is required. You must be able to lift and maneuver items of at least 75 pounds regularly. You will climb and descend stairs and ladders multiple times a day. Tasks include repetitive bending, twisting, reaching overhead, and working in tight or awkward spaces. You must maintain the stamina for continuous physical labor throughout the day, including walking, carrying materials, and performing tasks safely and efficiently.

- Pay: $21 - $26/hr. based on experience
