Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Acute Care in Orwigsburg, PA

Legacy Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate [CNA] Certified Nursing Assistant for an opportunity at Seton Manor Nursing and Rehab - 1000 Seton Drive, Orwigsburg, PA 17961.

Position: CNA

Rate: $20 per hour

Shift Schedule: 8-hour shift

2 PM - 10 PM EDT

Required Qualifications:

• Must have 1 year of experience in the last 3 years as a CNA.
• Must have BLS
• Must have state CNA license.
• Must be COVID-19 vaccinated and boosted.
• Must have active Driver's Licensed.
• Must have MMR and Varicella/titer Vaccine.
• Must have 2 Proof of residency from the last 2 years.
• Must be flexible.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, mobility (using Hoyer lifts), and feeding.
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing staff.
• Support medication administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation in EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks.
• Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, memory impairments, or developmental disabilities.
• Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care and phlebotomy.
• Assist with patient transfers using appropriate equipment and techniques for safety.
• Document patient information thoroughly in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Support patients in post-acute care, sub-acute settings, or outpatient clinics depending on assignment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), pediatric units (PICU), or behavioral health units to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Engage in ongoing training related to medical-surgical procedures, infection control, and emergency protocols such as Basic Life Support (BLS).

Requirements:

• Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent credential required.
• Experience working in various healthcare settings including hospitals (ICU, ER, OR), long-term care facilities (nursing homes, assisted living), hospice or home & community care environments.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient safety protocols including aseptic technique.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks is preferred.
• Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and support complex patient needs such as dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, or individuals with disabilities is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
