Summary/Objective
The Cashiering Specialist is responsible for processing all funds in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with all the governing guidelines. Knowledge of company processes and procedures as well as communicating effectively with team members within the company is also necessary.
Essential Functions
Accurate posting of funds to loans the same day funds are received through various channels
Conduct daily teller balancing procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
ACH processing, including set-up and correspondence
NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds) processing and borrower notification through letter correspondence
Default liquidation processing when loans are closed out of system due to REO, Short Sale, etc.
Properly distribute funds received for service released loans
Process incoming mail
Customer Information Tracking workflow processing and monitoring
Monitor and process Payment Exceptions that arise due to loan status
Monitor and process all incoming ACH and wires
Responsible for meeting legal requirements and following internal policies

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, adding machine, and fax machines. Ability to sit for long periods of time is essential.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time in office position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime as needed due to deadlines for month-end.
Education and Experience:
Proficient with PC
Proficient with Word, Excel
Familiarity with Fiserv Screens and Fields, preferred
Previous bank teller and/or cashier experience, preferred
