Senior software engineer

McKinsey & Company Inc. US is seeking Senior Software Engineer in Philadelphia, PA. Evaluate legacy applications to identify areas for improvement, obsolete technologies, and architectural bottlenecks. Define, execute and implement a modernization strategy leveraging SAP SuccessFactors modules such as Employee Central, Recruitment, Performance and Onboarding. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions during cloud migration initiatives. Build and optimize software solutions for seamless communication, including APIs, message queues, and data synchronization techniques. Possesses solid understanding of the overall vision of HR technology for both global implementations & support. Understand the requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions utilizing the best practices approach. Independently and self-sufficiently configure SAP HCM / SuccessFactors suite to meet the business requirements with top-shelf quality. Develop and maintain software applications and modules using various tools and technologies specific to SAP Cloud Applications, Fragomen workright, and SAP SuccessFactors. Review functional specification documents for SAP modules, reports, enhancements, and interfaces. Prepare technical specifications, detailed designs, and interface documentation based on the analysis. Plan and prepare technical reports and other required documentation related to program development, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately recorded and maintained. Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels, ensuring clear understanding of the project objectives and progress. Analyze existing applications to evaluate their effectiveness and enhance existing programs to improve the efficiency of integration flows for SAP, custom applications and SAP SuccessFactors using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI). Utilize various integration adapters, process building and deployment techniques, API management, and cloud-based technology environments like Amazon Web Services (AWS) to ensure seamless integration and deployment of SAP Cloud Applications. Interact and consult with users and other stakeholders to identify operating procedures and program objectives, ensuring that the developed applications meet the needs of the organization. Adhere to software engineering best practices, architecture strategy, standards, and roadmap to ensure the development of high-quality applications. Perform necessary testing, optimize requirements, and troubleshoot applications to ensure their smooth functioning and to resolve any issues that may arise during development or deployment. Qualified applicants for this position must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field or foreign degree equivalent. Qualified applicants for this position must have a minimum five (5) years of experience customizing and implementing SAP system solutions, including solution proposals, project timeline estimations, and technical specifications. Experience must include the following: Expertise with Enterprise architecture, Integration platforms (API) and designing enterprise wide applications platforms to meet the needs of the business; Integrating security best practices; Leading requirements workshops and application demos; Designing, setting-up, and testing prototype and production SuccessFactors Onboarding instances, ensuring that all integrated platforms work together seamlessly; Developing, testing, and deploying software solutions to enhance existing and new HR functionalities.
