Morning Sous Chef
Morning Sous Chef (Production & Operations)
We are seeking an experienced Morning Sous Chef to lead daytime kitchen production and support smooth, organized kitchen operations. This role is ideal for a dependable culinary professional who values teamwork, consistency, and a positive work environment.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
50–55 hours per week
No nights or weekends
Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect deliveries; verify invoices and pricing
Scan and organize invoices and kitchen paperwork
Perform all butchery tasks
Prepare sauces, ragùs, braises, and pasta fillings
Organize and maintain walk-in coolers and dry storage
Ensure proper labeling, rotation, and cleanliness standards
Lead by example in organization, sanitation, and professionalism
Work collaboratively with the culinary team to support overall kitchen success
Qualifications & Traits:
Prior sous chef or senior production kitchen experience
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Clean, efficient, and detail-oriented work habits
Positive attitude and strong team mindset
Respectful, trustworthy, and dependable
Comfortable balancing hands-on cooking with administrative responsibilities
Spanish language skills preferred
