Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Anesthesiology;Pediatric Anesthesiology

This on-site, contract position presents a unique opportunity for entry-level professionals looking to gain valuable experience in a dynamic medical practice environment.
As a Locum MD, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality anesthetic care to patients across various age groups. You will work alongside a team of experienced medical professionals, contributing to patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to any changes during surgery
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and consultations
- Provide post-anesthesia care and evaluate patient recovery
- Educate patients and their families about anesthesia procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Stay updated on the latest anesthetic techniques and protocols
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a residency in Anesthesiology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of California
- Strong understanding of pediatric anesthesiology principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on patient safety
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification preferred
Flexible Schedule: Minimum 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
No call
Patient Census: 1 per day
Patient Ages: Pediatric
CRNA and resident supervision required
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
