Location: Philadelphia, PA (on-Site) or Hybrid (Home + On-Site)

As Financial Controller, you’ll be responsible for the full oversight of Ehmke’s financial performance, including ownership of our P&L and active participation in strategic decision-making. You’ll directly manage our bookkeeper and oversee key financial functions including payroll administration, account reconciliation, cost control, and financial performance analysis.

You’ll report to the President & CEO and serve as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team as we continue to scale and optimize operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all financial operations and reporting of a $15+ Million Company.
• Own and manage the company’s profit & loss (P&L) statement
• Prepare daily financial dashboard reports and monthly account analysis
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings
• Collaborate with outside CPA and auditing firms to prepare accurate financial statements
• Manage ACH and wire transfers when needed
• Coordinate monthly sales tax reporting
• Supervise payroll and ensure accurate reconciliations
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives and profitability analysis
• Maintain and organize legacy financial reporting (FEI & LOC activity)

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting or Finance preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in business accounting, financial management, or bookkeeping
• 2+ years in a Financial Controller or senior accounting management role
• Strong experience with SAGE 100 (or comparable ERP/accounting software)
• Background in job costing and margin analysis
• Prior exposure to lean manufacturing or job-shop style production preferred
• Experience with government contracts, including DoD, WAWF, and DCMA audits is a strong plus

• Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement experience is a plus
• Flexible mindset: ability to work on-site, hybrid, or remote as needed
