Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead and oversee pharmacy operations in Kennett Square, PA. The role involves ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, managing staff, and serving as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies. This is a 13-week contract-to-hire position.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses unless otherwise assigned
- Act as the main point of contact for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of operational, ownership, facility, or PIC changes
- Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations with strict adherence to quality and safety standards
- Lead quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement processes
- Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production personnel
- Manage daily batch record creation, execution, review, and approval
- Support production scheduling to meet delivery timelines, maintain inventory accuracy, and optimize capacity
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as PIC or Pharmacy Manager
- In-depth knowledge of USP standards and relevant state and federal regulations governing 503A operations
- Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Flexible availability on Saturdays if needed
